Statement on ICC’s Ruling Against Netanyahu and Inaction on the Islamic Republic

The Iranian Constitutional Monarchy Forum condemns the International Criminal Court’s recent decision to issue arrest warrants for Benjamin Netanyahu, Prime Minister of Israel, and Yoav Gallant, former Defence Minister. This action appears to reflect political considerations that undermine the impartiality and fairness expected of international justice.

We assert that:

1-Justice Must Be Impartial:

The ICC’s disproportionate focus on Israel and its leaders, while overlooking actors such as the Islamic Republic of Iran—known for orchestrating and funding terrorist organisations—raises concerns about a troubling double standard.

2-All Perpetrators of Violence Must Be Held Accountable:

Leaders such as Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, who commands and funds proxy forces such as Hezbollah, Hamas, and the Houthis, are responsible for grave human rights abuses and destabilising the region. Focusing solely on the actions of a democratic nation in self-defence while ignoring such actors undermines the principles of justice.

3-Peace and Trust Are at Risk:

This ruling risks escalating regional tensions by neglecting the broader context of terrorism and aggression, further eroding trust in international institutions.

The Iranian Constitutional Monarchy Forum calls on the international community to uphold justice that is impartial and comprehensive. Turning a blind eye to the Islamic Republic’s crimes against its own people and its destabilising influence weakens the credibility of global institutions tasked with ensuring accountability.
